Otherwise, handrails are required for ramps with a rise of 6 inches or more, and shall be in accordance with Section 505 of the ICC A117.1-2009. Please review Section 505 for additional information which must be met and shown on the ramp drawing on this sheet set. For example, the ramp must comply with Sections 505.2 through section 505.10.1 of the ICC A117.1-2009.
